There are some couples you meet and immediately feel like you’ve known them for much longer than you actually have. Jein & David were exactly that kind of couple.

Their September 19 wedding at Bowers Museum in Santa Ana was one of those days that felt incredibly personal from beginning to end. From a ceremony that beautifully brought their cultures together to late-night bites chosen specifically with their traveling guests in mind, every detail reflected how intentional and thoughtful these two are.

And, perhaps most importantly, these two were so excited to get married. You could feel it in every part of their wedding day.

A Wedding Day Management Couple Who Quickly Became Friends

Jein & David booked our Wedding Day Management package, bringing us into the planning process with just three months to go before their wedding in Orange County.

While three months may sound like a short amount of time, we connected with them so quickly that the final stretch of planning was genuinely one of the most fun parts. We jumped right in, got to know them, learned what mattered most to them, and helped bring all of those final details together.

That’s one of the things we love most about Wedding Day Management. We get to meet couples wherever they are in the planning process, step in, understand the vision they’ve already created, and help carry it over the finish line.

With Jein & David, that process felt especially natural. They had already put so much thought into the kind of wedding experience they wanted to create. Our job was to help make sure all of those thoughtful details came together seamlessly so that when September 19 arrived, they could focus on what mattered most: getting married and celebrating with their people.

A Multicultural Wedding Ceremony at Bowers Museum Orange County

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was having Jein’s brother officiate the ceremony.

He beautifully fused their cultures by speaking in English, Mandarin, and Korean, creating a ceremony that felt incredibly personal to Jein & David while also honoring the different cultures and communities represented by their guests.

It was such a wonderful reflection of the couple themselves — intentional, thoughtful, and centered around bringing the people they love together.

Their vows were another moment that really captured who they are. They were emotional, heartfelt, and clearly written with so much thought behind them. Nothing about the day felt like they were simply checking boxes or following a wedding script. Every decision felt like it came back to the same thing: celebrating their relationship and making their guests feel loved.

And that intentionality was something we saw throughout their entire wedding.

Delicious Dinner, Late-Night Bites & A Big Thank You to Their Guests

There was no shortage of delicious food throughout the day, beginning with the dinner beautifully provided by Bowers Museum’s in-house caterer, Constellation. But Jein & David wanted to make sure the celebration kept going well into the night — and that their guests had something extra special to look forward to.

They were passionate about having some seriously fun late-night bites waiting for everyone, including a ramen station, tacos and street corn from Tacos Los Gordos, and Cool Beans Bingsu. But these weren’t just fun food choices for the sake of having them. Jein & David specifically wanted these late-night treats as a thank-you to their guests who had traveled so far to celebrate with them.

And honestly? What better way to show your appreciation than by feeding everyone delicious tacos, ramen, and shaved ice?

It was one of those details that said so much about them:

We are so happy you’re here. We know you traveled for us. Let us take care of you.

That thoughtfulness toward their guests was woven throughout the entire wedding day.

A Bouquet Toss, But Make It Cats

Of course, we can’t talk about Jein & David’s wedding without mentioning the cats.

Instead of a traditional bouquet toss, they had stuffed cats made to resemble their own cat, Mimie.

Because when you have a beloved cat who is clearly part of the family but couldn't fly from the east coast, why not find a way to include her in the wedding festivities?

It was unexpected, adorable, and so perfectly them.

Those are always some of our favorite wedding details — the ones that make a guest stop and think, Of course they did that.

Helping Jein & David Cross the Finish Line

As their Wedding Day Management team, our job was to step in during those final months, help tie everything together, and make sure Jein & David could actually enjoy the wedding they had worked so hard to create.

By the time September 19 arrived, we had a great understanding of what mattered most to them. We knew the details they were excited about, the moments they wanted to savor, and the ways they wanted their guests to feel throughout the day.

So when it was finally time for their wedding, stepping in and guiding everything over the finish line felt incredibly natural.

It was easy to step into their planning process because they had already created such a strong foundation. We simply got to help bring all of their plans, priorities, and meaningful details together.

At the end of the day, Jein & David’s wedding at Bowers Museum wasn’t memorable because of any one detail.

It was memorable because everything felt intentional.

From a multilingual ceremony that honored their cultures, to deeply personal vows, to late-night food chosen specifically to thank their traveling guests, to stuffed cat Mimie lookalikes making an appearance instead of a traditional bouquet toss — every piece told a little part of their story.

And underneath all of it were two people who were simply so happy to be getting married.

We loved getting to step into their planning process during those final three months, and even more, we loved getting to watch everything come together.

Helping couples take everything they’ve envisioned and turn it into a seamless, meaningful wedding day is exactly why we love Wedding Day Management so much.

Jein & David, thank you for trusting us with such an important part of your story. Your day was sweet, emotional, joyful, and completely you — and we’re so grateful we got to be there for it.

Happy married life, you two! 🤍

With love,
