Inside a Catalina Island Destination Wedding: Michelle & Devon

There’s something memorable about a destination wedding—especially when it takes you to Catalina Island. Michelle and Devon tied the knot on May 4, 2025, at Descanso Beach Club in Avalon, CA, and we were so honored to help bring their vision to life through our 3-Month Wedding Day Management package.

From the moment our day-of team (Makayla & Dalavy) stepped off the boat from Orange County, we knew this would be a celebration to remember.

Weekend Kickoff

The festivities kicked off the day before with a golf tournament followed by a rehearsal dinner at Catalina Country Club. It was the perfect way for family and friends to come together, setting the tone for a weekend of joy and togetherness.

Getting Ready

On wedding day, Michelle got ready in a private residence, while Devon and his crew prepped at the Zane Grey Pueblo Hotel. The glam team absolutely nailed it—Aly Rose Beauty Team took care of makeup, and Andy from Salon Serenity styled stunning hair looks for the bride and bridal party. The Everlasting Photo captured each part of the day beautifully, while Love is Cinema documented it all on film.

Island Destination Wedding Ceremony on the Lawn

Although we were keeping a close eye on the weather (rain was a real possibility!), the skies cleared just in time for the outdoor ceremony on the lawn. It truly felt like the sun came out just for them. One especially meaningful moment? Michelle shared a private first look with her dad—an emotional and intimate moment just between the two of them.

During the ceremony, the couple lit a unity candle—a family heirloom used across multiple weddings in Michelle’s family. It was a beautiful nod to tradition, symbolizing the joining of two families.

Reception at Catherine’s Terrace

Guests transitioned to Catherine’s Terrace for cocktail hour and the reception, where they enjoyed an assortment of signature cocktails and mocktails. The floral designs by White Sakuras brought soft elegance to every space—from the ceremony arch to the personal florals and reception arrangements.

Dinner was served buffet-style inside, followed by dancing outdoors beneath the stars. Second Song provided both the DJ services and photo booth. DJ Jay kept the energy alive on the dance floor, while Gio hosted a lively photo booth that guests truly enjoyed.

Sweet Treats & A Fun Twist

A dessert table full of macarons and chocolate-covered strawberries gave guests the perfect sugar fix before more dancing. And instead of the traditional bouquet toss for “Who’s next to get married?" Michelle added a playful twist—tossing it to “Who will have the next baby?” to the tune of “Baby” by Justin Bieber. It was so much fun and quickly became one of the most memorable moments of the night!

Final Thoughts

The day flowed effortlessly, filled with laughter, tears, and moments that truly mattered. While rain had been a possibility, it’s often seen as a blessing—a symbol of good luck—and we were ready to adapt seamlessly if needed.

We are deeply grateful to have been part of Michelle and Devon’s wedding weekend and wish The Kashishians a lifetime of happiness, love, and adventure together.
