Candice & Juan’s 5-Year Vow Renewal at Rancho Las Lomas

Vow renewals are something we don’t get to celebrate nearly as often as weddings, which made Candice and Juan’s five year anniversary extra special. They booked our team for a 1-month event day management package, and it was such a joy to help them bring this day together surrounded by their three kids, family, and friends.
A Relaxed Start to the Vow Renewal
The morning started at the Courtyard Foothill Ranch, where Candice got ready with hair and makeup by Beauty by Brina Nadine. Meanwhile, our team was on-site at Rancho Las Lomas overseeing setup. One of the most unique elements was the live painter, Agnes Russo, who began her canvas with the ceremony archway as her backdrop. She painted throughout the event, later finishing with a beautiful piece of Candice, Juan, their kids, and the venue’s scenery.
Details + Family Moments
The event space featured florals in whites, greens, and neutrals by Mi Florecita Flower Shop, complementing the natural beauty of Rancho Las Lomas. Guests, all dressed in black per the couple’s request, were welcomed with a sign that read, “These kids are getting married again!” alongside childhood photos of Candice and Juan.
Before the vow renewal itself, the couple shared several meaningful first looks, with parents, grandparents, and even their daughters, before finally seeing each other. Eventually, Candice and Juan made their way down the aisle and reaffirmed their vows in front of their loved ones. It was truly a beautiful, intimate celebration.
Dinner, Dancing, and Meaningful Fun
During cocktail hour, the Mariachi Corazon de Maria played while our team flipped the ceremony space into the reception. Guests mingled and enjoyed bites from 24 Carrots Catering.
Once the reception began, Rocket Entertainment kept the energy up with music, while dinner was served. For dessert, guests enjoyed cake by Simply Sweet Cakery along with a churro and ice cream bar provided by 24 Carrots. The night also included a Labubu toss, one for the kids and one for the adults, in place of a traditional bouquet toss, which made for a fun and playful moment. Throughout the night, guests got in line for Davtoons Caricatures, which ended up being one of the most talked-about experiences!
Final Touches
Candice & Juan's vow renewal memories were beautifully documented by Baeri Weddings for photography and Lovepost Films for videography.
This celebration was a reminder that vow renewals can be just as meaningful and joyful as weddings, especially when centered around family. Our lead planner Dalavy, along with myself (Makayla 👋), loved being part of this milestone.
