Intimate Garden Wedding at Stunning Mile Square Golf Course | Glenda and Sam

Updated: Aug 8, 2022

This beautiful and intimate wedding held at Mile Square Golf Course in Fountain Valley was one for the books. The perfect day, a Saturday in May started off overcast and a bit drizzly but soon cleared up and the sun made an appearance for our stunning couple, Glenda and Sam. We started off the festivities at the stunning St. Vincent De Paul church in Huntington Beach where the couple said their I do’s. The high vaulted ceilings and elegant oak benches made for a truly unforgettable ceremony to celebrate the glowing love these two have for each other. To keep up with the elegant and traditional vibes of the day, the couple was sent off from the ceremony to reception in a classic white car, champagne in hand and complete with a chauffeur decked out, tux and all. He even rolled out a red carpet for the couple leading up to the car door. Truly a scene straight from a fairy tale movie!

The gorgeous garden space at Mile Square Golf Course was the perfect place for this intimate and fun reception with all the couple’s family and friends. Surrounded by lush garden greenery and blooming spring flowers, the space in and of itself was breathtaking. The bride and groom made their show stopping entrance, immediately getting the crowd hyped and ready to party. The bride's stunning ball gown dress with a long train, off the shoulder sleeves, and intricate lace detail was a highlight of the night. She truly looked like a princess out of a Disney movie, and she danced like one too! The couple opened the reception with their first dance, waltzing and swaying with elegance around the dance floor. What really made the scene even more fairy tale- like were the cold sparklers that were set off in time to the music behind the couple while they were dancing. Truly spectacular! I definitely recommend getting some cold sparklers for your day, it adds just the right touch of excitement makes the night feel that much more cinematic. The reception space was beautifully decorated with string lights draping across the entire garden lawn, twinkling fairy lights behind the sweetheart tables, and each table was complete with tall, whimsical candles surrounded by full eucalyptus greenery and white roses delicately placed throughout. The sweetheart table was finished off with an eye-catching gold, glittery Mr. and Mrs. sign in addition to the candles and florals.

Dinner service began at the start of reception and guests enjoyed a delicious meal catered by Mile Square Golf Course. The couple's custom made his(Jack and Coke), hers(mango margarita), and ours(tequila sunrise) drinks were a hit at the bar and definitely got the crowd ready to party and have fun! After dinner, a heartfelt speech was given by the fathers of both the bride and groom as well as the groom himself. The dance floor was opened starting with a money dance for the couple followed by a huge group picture with all the wedding guests. I especially loved this touch as it's a great photo opportunity with all your favorite people and gets everybody up and ready to dance! Then it was time to PARTY! It was no feat getting this crowd going, they came ready to dance the night away until their feet hurt. The DJ played the perfect mix of hype pop songs and latin music to get the crowd moving! If there there is one thing I can say about this wedding guest group it’s that they had some moves! The guests were all salsa dancing all night and I even saw some of the uncles breaking it down with some break dance moves in the middle of the dance floor. The couple slipped away in the middle of dancing for an intimate cake cutting moment, which, can we take a second to appreciate the dessert table?! The simple and stunning 3 tiered cake was a naked-style cake with light frosting elegantly decorated with white roses and eucalyptus. They also included a three tier dessert stand with bite sized fruit tarts, chocolate eclairs, and raspberry cheesecake bites. Yum! After the cake was handed out, guests danced the night away until the event was closed out. The guests and bride and groom had the time of their lives and it was a truly memorable and special day celebrating the rest of their forever with Glenda and Sam!
