Intimate Maui Wedding Day | Hana and Sam

Updated: Nov 28, 2022

This tropical wedding on the stunning island of Maui was the perfect romantic and intimate event to celebrate the unity of our couple Hana and Sam. With a small guests count of just 20 of the couple's closest friends and family members, the day was kept simple and down to earth in the most elegant and meaningful way, paying attention to the important details.

Our Love and Life events team worked from our home base in Orange County, California, to plan and coordinate all the overseas details. Branching out and making connections with wedding vendors outside of our area was so much fun, we always love connecting with as many people in the wedding industry as we can! While we did all of the planning and coordination on the back end, we sourced a local Maui wedding expert, Alana Ross with Hana Wedding Company, to take over and be our day of point person. She did a phenomenal job of ensuring a smooth and coordinated wedding day, as well as providing us with her support and Hana, Maui expertise throughout the planning process.

The couple and their guests enjoyed their weekend stay at the Hyatt Hana Maui Resort. It is a stunning and secluded venue along the road to Hana, which is an iconic and historical drive that brings you through some of Maui's most breathtaking natural wonders. They enjoyed the resort's exclusive spa, outdoor swimming pool, stunning views and scenery, and all in the company of their most cherished loved ones. On their big day, the bride and her entourage began their day with a relaxing spa treatment while the groom relaxed poolside with the rest of their guests. As afternoon rolled around they began getting ready for their ceremony, with the help of Maui Makeup Artistry and their team. They held their ceremony on the oceanfront lawn of the Hyatt Hana Maui Resort, surrounded by lush greenery and an arch expertly decorated with the most beautiful tropical florals done by Hala Tropical Florals. Live music provided by ukulele player CJ Helekahi set the romantic and tropical mood.

After the couple tied the knot and sealed the deal with a kiss, guests were shuttled to a local farm where Chef Ryan of Chef Minded Farms prepared a traditional Hawaiian feast. Complete with Ahi Poke bites, tropical green salad, and most importantly a whole suckling pig- a delicious Hawaiian celebratory tradition. Guests mingled, ate, drank, and enjoyed the live music while celebrating the happy couple. It also happened to be the bride's son's 7th birthday as well, so there was even a special cake brought out for the birthday boy. It was truly a beautiful and unforgettable day for this couple and family, celebrating their radiant love!
